Hip-Hop Fundamentals

Hip-Hop is not getting the credit it deserves. We NEED more Hip-Hoppers! Miss Amanda is assumed to have started ballet at a very young age, but the trivia answer is, she started dancing hip-hop! Hip-hop is a very upbeat style that helps young dance students understand rhythm, direction, chest pops, and beginner foot tricks. Upper-level hip-hop focuses on faster beats, chest pops, pop-n-locking, foot tricks, and choreography. Hip-hop placement is by age unless the instructor would like to place a student in a certain class to match their needs.

If you want to have fun, dance to the beat, stay fit, and be challenged, then this is the class for you!

Attire: No jeans or shorts! Leggings, sweatpants, or jogger pants. Form fitting athletic tops are recommended. Sneakers with a flat bottom must be acquired over time. Thick sneakers with grip on the bottom should be avoided. Examples of the shoe you want are Converse (most recommended), Vans, K-Swiss, or any brand that is similar to these styles.

Hip-Hop has classes for ages 5-17
